Mulder my only guess why Melandri didn't get back on the bike in both races is that a) bike too damaged to continue or b) bike was off and needs a bump/generator to start it. In Biaggi's case the bike was still on but eventhough it didn't look good it was good enough to maintain a decent pace and get him some points.
