Carlos Checa feels he is crashing more frequently because he is being forced to push harder on his Ducati to make up for its regulation-induced disadvantages.

The twin is slower on the straights? Well boo hoo. Remember when Ducati had such a power advantage they didn't even need to use all the capacity available to them?

Lets have a properly level playing field. 1 litre for all and free on weight within the production based construction rules. That's real world. Allowing a capacity advantage isn't.

Honda proved years back that if they took advantage of the Ducati rule they could win the championship. IOW it was the rule that was winning back then more than the Ducati implementation of it.

It's a dumb rule because when the twins were allowed a 33% capacity advantage they were mostly dominant, but now we're being told with the twins enjoying a mere 20% capacity advantage the fours are dominant. IOW no matter how much they tweak it one side or the other will have the advantage. And whoever is on the side that is taking the kicking will cry foul.

Take away the stupid rule and write a simple set of rules around a fixed capacity. Then whatever
