Chas has got to be a dark horse and an outside bet for podium honours in what should be a super-competitive 2013 WSBK season.
Chas has adapted to a huge variety of different bikes in his career and always got good results on 2nd Tier kit and poorly funded teams.
He also seems to look after the equipment and the tyres, and generally goes forward all race, right to the flag (tho some of that is down to his average Q results). He's also consistent and pretty impervious to psyche out, and just chips away relentlessly.
If he adapts quick & well to the Beemer as well, then watch out for him. Also - if he pushes Melandri hard then it could well be MM's fragile mentality that gives way. I think he'll do well in 2013.
