dare I say, we might see a future R homologation with a trellis frame with the monocoque being saved for the base models...? I recognize the value of the ally backbone from a cost/manufacturing stand point, but they can't go on like this. the mistake wasn't switching to aluminum, the mistake was switching to aluminum for the ENTIRE superbike line up.
