I think most will agree with you myself included but if a pay rider replaced him not the guy that won the BSB title and the guy who finished second in the championship last year people would be alot more vocal about him getting shafted. Laverty and Alex have a good following right now and some would be just as dissapointed if the weren't in WSBK.

Ideally Laverty and Camier shouldn't have been shafted after last season big mistake by Aprilia to let Laverty, Melandri has had two so so seasons where the pressure got to him and he couldn't manage a championship against Max and it wasn't like the BMW wasn't capable of a championship last year either. Melandri doesn't deserve that Aprilia ride imo.
