MotoGP refugee Silva joins DF Racing.

The DF Racing rider merry-go-round continues with the penultimate round of the World Superbike Championship at Magny-Cours with the arrival of Ivan Silva in the team.

The team has struggled to settle on a single rider since Russell Holland decided to step down to the Supersport Championship, with Luca Morelli riding at Brands Hatch and Donington Park before withdrawing ahead of the Vallelunga round and being replaced by Matej Smrz.

For this round though, DF Racing will run Silva alongside Karl Muggeridge, a former Ducati MotoGP test rider, who has also raced on eight occasions in the premier class.

The Spaniard has once previously raced in World Superbikes, at Qatar in 2005 when he finished sixth aboard a Yamaha.
