Bayliss to make V8 debut Wednesday.

Troy Bayliss' much-vaunted switch from two wheels to four in order to continue his motorsport involvement looks likely to come a step closer on Wednesday, following confirmation that he will attend the latest V8 Supercar series test at Queensland Raceway.

The three-time World Superbike champion is expected to announce his four-wheel ambitions when he joins reigning V8 Supercar champions TeamVodafone at the test, with team principal Roland Dane set to confirm that Bayliss will be afforded seat time in one of his silver-and-red Ford Falcons to gain valuable experience as he bids to join the premier class of Australian touring car racing.

Bayliss announced his retirement from the WSBK at the end of the 2008 campaign, and made the move back to Australia's Gold Coast at the beginning of the year to pursue a long-held passion to race in the V8 series.

Is there no end to this man's talents? - already he's been WSBK champ, MotoGP Race winner and inventor of the clockwork radio . He will romp this series if he goes full time. Good on ya!
