Pedercini eyeing points in Spain

Pedercini Kawasaki are hopeful a recent test at Valencia will translate into good results when they visit the circuit again for the latest round of the World Superbike Championship.

Pedercini joined the factory Kawasaki team in Spain for a two-day test last week, where the team got the chance to trial set-ups with their works counterparts and complete several race distances in dry conditions.

As such, riders Luca Scassa and David Salom are confident they will prove more competitive in Spain than they have been in the first two rounds of the season.

“I am honestly pretty happy because we made good lap times and the bike was very consistent. I found very soon a good feeling with the bike on this circuit. I completed a full race simulations on the final day of testing and the results were still good, so I'm confident in the bike and team.

“I have a bit more feedback than before on my Kawasaki and we learned a lot at this test and I feel good going into the next races. My feeling with my new team is very good and I'm sure we will be able to make good things this year”.

“It has been good to test so close to the next Superbike race here in Valencia and things went well with the bike,” added local rider Salom. “On the final day I did some long runs and in the end I'm satisfied with the performance of the bike.

“We did a lot of work on the suspension and on the bike set up. The important thing was to make our final preparations for the race and I can say that now we are ready for my home race.”
