Magny-Cours scores three-year extension

The French round of the World Superbike Championship will continue to be held at Magny-Cours until 2012, it has been confirmed.

The Nevers circuit has featured on the WSBK calendar since 2003, during which attendance has risen a total of 105 per cent, including 18 per cent between 2007 and 2008 alone.

A boost for the venue since losing its rights to the Formula 1 French Grand Prix, Paolo Flammini and circuit manager Philippe Guillaume have extended their deal to include the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons too.

Magny-Cours, which hosted the season finale between 2003 and 2007, will act as the penultimate venue on this year's calendar on October 4th.
