WSS: Crutchlow fastest again

Cal Crutchlow continued to dominate proceedings in the latest round of the World Supersport Championship at Monza by topping second free practice by more than half a second.

The new championship leader was the only rider to dip beneath 1min 50secs, the Briton out pacing team-mate Fabien Foret to make it a profitable session for the Yamaha SSP team.

Mark Aitchison was another to maintain his impressive form on the Honda Althea in third position, ahead of Kawasaki's Joan Lascorz and Eugene Laverty, the Assen winner making a substantial improvement over first free practice in fifth.

Hondas locked out the next four positions, Matthieu Lagrive sixth on the second Althea machine, with Kenan Sofuoglu, Massimo Roccoli and Andrew Pitt following.

Qualifying takes place later today.
