WSS: PICTURES: Harms' spectacular accident

Robbin Harms will miss the fifth round of the World Supersport Championship at Monza after breaking his collarbone in a spectacular accident during free practice.

Harms was on his first flying lap aboard the Veidec Honda when he was launched into a vicious high-side, the Dane landing heavily and breaking his collarbone as a result. Taken to hospital, Harms is set to undergo surgery this week.

The accident itself was caught on camera, with Crash.net photographers capturing the moment he came to grief. To view the extensive set of snaps, simply scroll to the bottom of this page and click for larger images.

It isn't the first time Harms has suffered a mammoth accident at Monza after he crashed during the race in 2007 when riding for Stiggy Honda, an incident that has since been viewed more than 55,000 times on YouTube
