Haslam to go solo at Kyalami

Stiggy Racing have confirmed Leon Haslam will be their sole representative for the latest round of the World Superbike Championship in Kyalami.

With John Hopkins scheduled to make his return to competition for the Miller Motorsports Park round in just over a fortnight's time, Monza stand-in Jake Zemke will now fly home to compete in the latest round of the AMA Formula Xtreme.

It means Haslam will compete in South Africa as a sole entry, where he is looking to consolidate his fourth position in the overall standings.

Zemke finished 18th and 20th on his WSBK debut with the team last time out at Monza.

Gixxer 1000 ... I will have to agree with your comment regarding Jake but your comment about Hopper is way off !!! If Hopper ran at the front of the moto gp grid I'm sure he will get to the front of the world superbike grid as well ! Plus looking back to Valencia he hadn't ridden a street bike whatsoever since November , never ridden a superbike in his life and never been on Pirelli's and still managed some really respectable rides considering ... In the second race he went from 16th on the grid to sixth on the first lap and would have been 8th if his bike had not ran out of fuel so .... You ll eat your ignorant words soon enough ... Hope the recovery is going well Hopper !!!

Jake should just be thankful he got an opportunity to come and see the level of racing in WSBK. He's a great racer but he doesnt have what it take to run up front with the big boys of WSBK, sadly to say, neither is John Hopkin. This position should be given to one of the top WORLD SUPERSPORT rider.
