Michel Fabrizio is eager to maintain his current run of good form when the World Superbike Championship hits the half-way mark at Miller Motorsports Park.
Following on from his first WSBK win at Monza, three further second place finishes have elevated Fabrizio ahead of Ben Spies in the overall standings to make it a Ducati Xerox 1-2 behind team-mate Noriyuki Haga.
Furthermore, Fabrizio enjoyed one of his more successful 2008 events at Miller Motorsports Park, the Italian qualifying on the front row and securing a pair of third place finishes. He is hoping that a similar performance will see him retain his position in the standings.
"I really got on well at this track, which was new for us all last year. Although I didn't know the place, I went better there than at many of the other circuits last season, finishing third in both races, it seemed to be something of a “lucky track” for me!
“Now that I'm second in the championship, I plan to consolidate that position at Salt Lake, by taking the results I scored here last year and improving on them this year."
