The American flags were certainly flying high for Ben Spies at the end of his double World Superbike Championship victory on home soil at Miller Motorsports Park.

Two dominant wins from pole position, Spies romped away on both occasions to be pull back a significant margin from championship leader Noriyuki Haga.

With its vast expanses of flat land, set to the backdrop of a spectacular mountain scenery Miller Motorsports Park is probably the most unique setting for a World Superbike round in 2009.
