WSS: Laverty targets Crutchlow at Misano

Eugene Laverty has high hopes he will get the better of Cal Crutchlow during the latest round of the World Supersport Championship at Misano as he continues in his quest to catch the championship leader.

A win and a second place finish at Kyalami and Miller Motorsports Park has seen Laverty reduce Crutchlow's advantage at the top of the standings to nine points, while he also he also has 18 points in hand over third place Kenan Sofuoglu.

Looking ahead to Misano, Laverty is confident the circuit will suit his Honda better than the Yamaha, not least after a 'good race' there on a 250cc grand prix machine last year.

"I am looking forward to these two next races, Misano and Donington, because out of all the tracks through the year they are the ones I feel strongest about. I have raced at Misano twice in the past and I think the track will suit the Honda better than the Yamaha.

“I had a good race on a 250 there last year, for a time at least, and I really like the layout of Misano,"
