WSS: Crutchlow quickest again

Cal Crutchlow maintained his place at the top of the timesheets during second free practice for the World Supersport Championship at Misano.

The Briton beat the weather, which turned damp with 25 minutes on the clock remaining, to post a time of 1min 39.713secs, putting him marginally ahead of fellow Yamaha rider Michele Pirro and key title rival Eugene Laverty.

Joan Lascorz, who had led the session in the early stages, was fourth best, followed by Miller victor Kenan Sofuoglu, Massimo Roccoli, Katsuaki Fujiwara and Andrew Pitt, the latter recovering from an early spill to go eighth quickest.

Mark Aitchison and Gianluca Nannelli completed the top ten positions.
