Leon Haslam and Tom Sykes have missed out on making it through to the Superpole shootout, but Jonathan Rea and Shane Byrne will fight it out for positions on the front row rows.
An exceptionally close session that remained competitive well beyond the chequered flag, there were smiles at Ten Kate Honda as Rea topped the qualifying group again, while team-mates Carlos Checa
and Ryuichi Kiyonari
have also made it through.
In addition, Byrne makes the top eight for the second round in succession, and he was instrumental in denying Max Biaggi, who missed out by three hundredths of a second to qualify in ninth.
Haslam will start tenth, ahead of Fonsi Nieto, Shinya Nakano, Yukio Kagayama, Sykes, Troy Corser
and Lorenzo Lanzi.
Rea, Checa, Kiyonari, Byrne, Ben Spies, Michel Fabrizio, Noriyuki Haga
and Jakub Smrz fight it out for pole position.
