Ten Kate Honda have announced that George White, Britain's largest motorcycle dealer, will become the title sponsor for new rider Barry Veneman for the remainder of the World Supersport season.
Veneman made his return to the series at Misano riding an ex-Ten Kate Honda CBR600RR under the 'Pioneer' banner, the Dutchman running inside the points when he crashed shortly after the restart.
However, he will now receive branding from the George White brand, which will also offer their backing to Ten Kate's junior team in the Superstock 1000 and 600 series'.
“This has all happened pretty fast,” explained George White Motorcycles principal, Steve Gannicott. “I went to the World Superbike meeting in Salt Lake City last month and was very impressed with the Ten Kate operation.
“We've kept in touch since, in the hope that we can do some business together”, he added, “but when the offer to help their efforts with Barry Veneman came through, I thought it was a great opportunity to get involved with the team and put the George White brand in front of a much wider audience.”
Ten Kate Racing's team manager, Ronald ten Kate, also welcomed George White to the team.
“It's clear that Steve has exactly the same level of passion and enthusiasm for motorcycles as us, and our two businesses share a very similar philosophy, so we are really thrilled with this exciting new venture.”
