Kenan Sofuoglu says he is feeling 'more comfortable' with his Ten Kate Honda bike as he looks to make a last ditch attempt to reignite his fading World Supersport title hopes.

The Turk emerged as the eventual front runner at the end of the two-day test at Imola, Sofuoglu overturning Cal Crutchlow's substantial advantage leading into the last of four sessions to emerge on top by two tenths of a second.

Using the test as a chance to extract a more consistent pace from the bike that has only won two races this season, Sofuoglu says he is beginning to feel more confident on the machine.

"I am very happy to be back here and to be back on top. We have got through a lot of work these two days and it has been good to work with the new suspension without having to worry about putting in a fast lap for qualifying.

"Everything has worked really well and now I am much more comfortable with the new equipment we have. I am looking forward to next week's race in Brno where I am sure that Crutchlow and Laverty will be strong again. But we can start from a stronger position, I hope, and look for a good result."

Sofuoglu is currently third in the standings, albeit 64 points adrift of Cal Crutchlow with five rounds remaining and a maximum 100 points still up for grabs.
