Althea Honda have confirmed Jason O'Halloran will race for them in the upcoming World Supersport Championship round at Brno after a successful test at Imola.

The Australian, a former Supersport title winner in his home country, makes the switch from the British Superbike Championship to replace Superbike graduate Matthieu Lagrive in the team.

Having made significant strides over the course of the two days at Imola, O'Halloran is confident of proving competitive around the Czech circuit.

"I am going to Brno in a positive mood and I'm looking forward to another challenge, After the Imola test I have a good feeling with my Honda CBR600RR and I already know the Brno circuit from two years ago, so I am looking forward to returning to a circuit that I am familiar with, I am confident that me and my team can achieve a strong result in our first race together."

This will be O'Halloran's second career WSS race after making a one-off appearance in 2007 for Yamaha, also at Brno. He finished 12th.
