Max Biaggi admits Aprilia's recent test at Brno has been key to his front running pace during the latest round of the World Superbike Championship at Brno, before insisting there is still more to come from himself and the package.

Biaggi, who scored a podium at Brno last year, has an impressive record around the picturesque Czech circuit, the Italian indicating as much after snatching provisional pole position heading into Superpole.

Although he met with strong competition from Ben Spies and Michel Fabrizio at the crucial moment, Biaggi was still able to place his RSV-4 third on the grid, just two tenths off pole position.

Capitalising on the team's recent test at Brno, Biaggi maintains that his 'overriding' in certain areas is still holding him back.

"We are very pleased with this result, all weekend we have been fighting in the top three. We were testing here a month or so ago, and we did a lot of work on the gearbox and the set-up and you can see the result.

"I'm not exactly where I want to be, but I can override in some parts so I'm pleased with the result. A big thanks to all my crew."
