WSS: Lascorz to stay with Kawasaki

Joan Lascorz will remain in the World Supersport Championship next season after penning an extension of his contract with the Provec Motocard.com Kawasaki team.

Lascorz has been a revelation in 2009, the youngster's switch to the struggling manufacturer coming as part of a major restructure that also saw the team change hands from Gil Motorsport to the newly formed Provec outfit.

While he is yet to win a race this season, Lascorz has taken the fight to Yamaha and Honda on several occasions and is currently a strong fourth in the standings with four podium finishes to his name.

Although a graduation to the World Superbike Championship was mooted, it was announced Lascorz had signed a new contract for 2010 for his fourth season in the support class.

I'm a big Kawasaki fan, and this guy has been fantastic entertainment all year. I hope they get a decent Superbike for him to graduate to in a couple of years. If Cal and Eugene change to GP2, he has an excellent chance next year.
