With Makoto Tamada once again sidelined by injury, Sheridan Morais has been recalled to action by the Kawasaki World Superbike team for this weekend's Magny-Cours round.

When Tamada was injured earlier in the season at Monza, Morais was hired to replace the Japanese at his home South African round, where he carried the ZX-RR challenge with eleventh on the grid, then 13th and eleventh on race day.

Morais was rewarded for his efforts with a further outing for Paul Bird's team at the Brands hatch BSB triple header, when he qualified a highly impressive third - one place behind team-mate Broc Parkes - and, after a big accident on the opening lap of race one, finished tenth and eighth in the other outings.

Aside from his home WSBK appearance, Morais also finished sixth at the Brno World Supersport round for Yamaha.
