A new one-make support series to the World Superbike Championship will make its debut next season, it has been revealed.

The ParkinGO World Series will join the schedule at seven WSBK rounds in 2010 and is expected to slot in amongst the Supersport and Superstock series'.

A two-year agreement between series organisers Infront Motor Sports and ParkinGO, a leading car parking network in the vicinity of principal Italian airports and title sponsor to the BE1 Racing Triumph team in World Supersports, the company will also act as the official backer of three Italian World Superbike rounds in 2010 and 2011.

"We are delighted to have reached this accord with the Oasi Handling Group (ParkinGO's parent company,” said Infront CEO Paulo Flammini. “We have had the opportunity to get to know Giuliano Rovelli over the years in his role as owner of the Triumph BE1 Racing team and we are sure that thanks to his dynamism and entrepreneurial skill, he will be able to give the right impulse to guarantee the success of this new trophy.

“A warm welcome therefore to ParkinGo who also become the Official Sponsor of the three Italian rounds of the Superbike World Championship for the next two seasons."

"The decision to sponsor the SBK was taken following our direct experience on the circuit where we witnessed first-hand the immense opportunities this fabulous context could offer our company from a commercial and marketing prospective,” added Oasi's Giuliano Rovelli.

“By investing in an internationally acclaimed sporting activity of this calibre we have chosen to highlight our company traits which we recognize in motor-cycling in general and in the Superbike World Championship in particular, values such as: courage, passion, efficiency and strength, all of which are basic components of my professional experience. Hence my desire to create a new one-make trophy and name it after my company "ParkinGO World Series"

The series will take in rounds at Valencia, Assen, Monza, Brno, Donington Park and the Nurburgring. A further announcement will be made regarding the make and model of the bikes that will be used.
