A provisional entry list of 21 riders has been announced for the 2010 World Supersport Championship.

The Supersport grid attracted grids of up to 30 riders on occasion in 2009, with a fair proportion entering Yamaha R6s. However, with the factory team withdrawing, just two Yamahas are scheduled to participate in 2010.

Additionally, the loss of Althea Racing and Stiggy Racing has had an effect, with only a total seven teams that raced in 2009 returning in 2010.

In the reigning champions' absence, Parkalgar Honda, Ten Kate Honda and Kawasaki Motocard.com will assume the status of title favourites, although Triumph could pose a threat after bolstering its entry to four bikes.

Other notable entrants include Superstock 600 champion Gino Rea, who will ride an Intermoto Czech Honda, and Paola Cazzola, who becomes the first woman to compete full-time in the series.
