The World Superbike grid will return to greater strength at Monza following the confirmation that Vittorio Iannuzzo is to return from injury.

Grid numbers dropped to 22 last time out at Assen following the withdrawals of Reitwagen BMW and Iannuzzo, but the Italian, who was involved in a mammoth accident with Simon Andrews at Valencia, has since confirmed he will be back on the Squadra Corse Italia Honda for his and the team's home round.

Despite hopes that its Assen absence would be a one-off, Reitwagen will not be travelling to Monza having failed to acquire the funds it needs to get back out on track.

Meanwhile, Pro Ride Honda's debut continues to be delayed while it continues to find a main sponsor, although Yoshimura Suzuki will be out on track at Monza with Daisaku Sakai for the first of its three WSBK wild-card events this year.

As such, the WSBK grid numbers will rise to 24 for Monza.
