Haga struggles once more, will start 16th

Haga struggles once again during Superpole as preidicts another tough couple of races at Monza.
Noriyuki Haga admits he is expecting another tough race day after struggling to a lowly 16th position in Superpole at Monza.

The Japanese rider has now failed to reach SP3 in each of the five qualifying sessions this season, Haga being particularly out classed by Ducati Xerox team-mate Michel Fabrizio, who will start up in third place.

Indeed, although Haga is satisfied with the race set-up on his bike, he was once again frustrated to be lacking in single-lap pace.

“This morning conditions were pretty much the same as yesterday and I was finding it difficult, especially through the first part of the track. Then in the Superpole I found that I had better grip on the race tyre than with the qualifier.

“I was lacking grip at the rear and, though I pushed as hard as I can, it was impossible to make a very fast lap. I'm fairly happy with the race set-up but it's going to be another tough race day.”

You can never count Nori out on race day! He's made a career of going from deep in the grid to top five from start to first corner. If his race setup is good like he says, he could be battling at the front tomorrow. We shall see...
