Shane Byrne will undergo a meeting with Althea Ducati's technical team in an effort to improve his form following another difficult weekend at Kyalami.
The former British Superbike champion finished outside the top ten in both races, well adrift of team-mate Carlos Checa
who stood on the podium.
Indeed, Byrne, who has a best finish of sixth so far this season, has failed to match Phillip Island race winner Carlos Checa
for the most part and is now languishing down in 12th position in the standings – Checa is currently joint third.
Despite his lack of recent form, Althea team boss Genesio Bevilacqua is committed to helping Byrne out of his 'dark period'
“We will have a technical meeting with regard to Shane in order to help him out of this dark period,” the Althea press release simply said.
