A third Aprilia RSV-4 will be present on the World Superbike grid at Misano with top CIV Italian Superbike team Gabrielli Racing submitting a wild-card.

Federico Sandi will ride the WSBK championship-leading machine at his home circuit as he looks to build on the form in the domestic series that has seen him a podium winner already this season.

The Italian was originally scheduled to ride at Monza earlier this season before the team withdrew at the last minute. He will become the second wild-card Aprilia rider this year following on from Sheridan Morais at Kyalami.
