After possibly the biggest shake-up in the order since the World Superbike season got into its stride, the top ten takes on a very different look as the teams and riders leave Silverstone.

Undoubtedly the big mover is Cal Crutchlow, whose relentless double victory on home soil goes a long way to putting the woes that have hampered his season to date firmly behind him.

Capitalising on what is a tight chasing pack, Crutchlow went into the weekend tenth overall - and as only the fifth highest placed British rider - to end it in fifth place as a whole. Notably, it moves him ahead of team-mate James Toseland and within fair distance of fourth place man Carlos Checa.

Up ahead, Leon Haslam trimmed eight points off Max Biaggi's lead, but he will need to do more than that over the final few races if he is to have any chance of overhauling the Aprilia rider.

If Crutchlow was the day's biggest winner, then experienced competitors Noriyuki Haga and Troy Corser certainly lost out, dropping from fifth and seventh to seventh and tenth respectively. A blow for Corser, who was steadily rising up the standings before his Brno withdrawal, he is now led by Leon Camier and Michel Fabrizio, while Sylvain Guintoli is just four points away from demoting him out of the top ten altogether.

Meanwhile, in the manufacturer standings, while Honda was the only team to rival Yamaha's points' haul this weekend, Yamaha have edged back ahead in the battle for fourth overall, while Ducati's third place doesn't look so insurmountable now.
