Lai to make WSBK debut at Nurburgring

Fabrizio Lai takes up the vacant seat at Echo CRS Honda following Broc Parkes's decision to quit.
Former grand prix racer Fabrizio Lai will make his World Superbike Championship debut at the Nurburgring as he assumes duties on the Echo CRS Honda.

Following the announcement that Broc Parkes has cut ties with the Italian team, Echo CRS have acted quickly to get someone on board again in time for the German round of the series.

Lai raced in 125 and 250GP classes up until 2008 when he made the switch to the World Supersport Championship with the same Echo CRS team. However, he failed to score in six starts and was eventually replaced by Sam Lowes.

Lai will be one of two riders making their World Superbike debut at the Nurburgring alongside Ian Lowry on the PBM Kawasaki.
