The final 2010 test for many of the World Superbike riders ended on a whimper after rain continued to disrupt proceedings during the second day of running in Portugal.

Having hampered the first day of testing, with several riders choosing to stay in the pit lane, more poor weather ensured lap times continued to vary for those that did decide to venture out.

It was Ruben Xaus who emerged from the test with the fastest time as he enjoyed his first laps aboard the Ten Kate Honda, the Spaniard marginally quicker than the man that replaced him at BMW, Leon Haslam.

Jonathan Rea's best time of day one kept him third on the timesheets, though he didn't set a time on day two, ahead of Suzuki's Michel Fabrizio and Troy Corser on the second BMW.

James Toseland's first outing with BMW saw him claim sixth, albeit 2.4secs adrift of pace setter Xaus. Noryuki Haga was the last of the participants in seventh.
