Althea reveals Xerox-inspired livery for 2011

A predominantly red and white colour scheme for Althea looks strikingly similar to that of another team...
Althea Racing has unveiled its colours for the 2011 World Superbike Championship season with a design similar to that of the departed factory Xerox outfit.

Though the team will scale down to just a single rider in Carlos Checa next season, Althea will receive elevated status within the Ducati stable following the manufacturer's decision withdraw as a works entity.

This is represented in the bike's new livery, which while similar to the 2010 design, will see a more prominent use of Ducati's signature 'red' in a nod to the distinctive livery of the Xerox team.

Presented in Italy at Termignoni Day – arranged at the exhaust company's headquarters -, the design will also be seen in the Superstock 1000 class with Lorenzo Baroni.

Althea is the second of three 'semi-privateer' Ducati teams to launch following Liberty Racing's unveiling in Prague this week. Supersonic Ducati are to be the third Ducati representative in 2011.

@Rob#46 Xerox tried that in 2008 but it wasn't to succesful as Bayliss and Fabrizio's knees covered up the logo and 1 of the letters. Xerox asked the to change it. The Xerox horizontal only lasted 2 rounds i think before it was changed. If you go to Google images and type in Xerox 1098 theres a few pics from Jerez.
