Shoulder relief for Melandri

Former MotoGP World Championship runner-up and 2011 World Superbike rider Marco Melandri went for a shoulder scan last week after suffering “big pain for no reason”.

Fortunately, it seems to have been a false alarm for the new Yamaha Sterilgarda rider:

“Everything is going good… just getting old :-) Need to be back on my R1 as soon as possible!” Melandri wrote via Twitter on Monday.

Melandri will ride alongside Eugene Laverty in 2011.
