PICS: BMW Italia team launch

BMW Italia launches ahead of its first foray into the World Superbike Championship with James Toseland and Ayrton Badovini.
BMW Italia has become the latest World Superbike Championship team to take the wraps off its 2011 challenger with a launch at Monza.

Formally unveiling James Toseland and Ayrton Badovini as its riders – as well as Lorenzo Zanetti and Sylvain Barrier as the defenders of its Superstock 1000 crown -, BMW Italia steps up from the stock class with an eye on Superbike success.

Adopting a similar design to that of the factory team, albeit with greater emphasis on the tricolore of its national flag, BMW Italia is made up of several members of Feel Racing – better known as Ducati Xerox until the end of last season.
