Guintoli confirmed to race at Donington Park

Sylvain Guintoli returns to the scene of his leg-breaking accident at Donington Park having just gotten over a high-speed tumble in Australia.
Effenbert-Liberty Ducati has confirmed that Sylvain Guintoli will be fit to compete in the second round of the World Superbike Championship at Donington Park in what will be his first outing at the circuit where he broke his leg two years ago.

The Frenchman suffered a high-speed accident at Phillip Island, one that landed him in hospital and forced him to miss the second of the weekend's races.

However, Guintoli suffered no broken bones, with the Czech-based team confirming that he will be able to line up on the grid at Donington Park with only a few bruises to contend with.

The return to the Leicestershire circuit will be a particularly poignant one for the former MotoGP rider as it was here that he broke his leg in a collision with Josh Brookes on the sighting lap of a British Superbike race less than two years ago, ruining his hopes of a title challenge.

Great news. Guinter showed very good pace at P.I. Until he found the wet patch. I would like to see Sylvain do well. I think he should perform quite well this season. Good luck to him and all racing this year. Look out for Brooksey.
