Chris Vermeulen will make his first public World Superbike appearance in more than eight months at Donington Park as he edges ever closer to full fitness.
Vermeulen, who tested the Kawasaki extensively for the first time only last week, is scheduled to ride the bike for only the third time since July 2010 during free practice on the Friday.
Though the fact he has had limited time on a race machine recently means his appearance in practice will not guarantee whether he will go on to race, this marks a welcome return to the paddock for the Australian.
"It's great to welcome Chris back into the team and hopefully he can give a good account of himself now he's back to somewhere near full fitness,” said team manager Paul Bird.
This will be the first time Kawasaki has entered with its full compliment of riders, Vermeulen joining Tom Sykes and Joan Lascorz.
