Baiocco, Polita receive Misano wild-cards

Matteo Baiocco and Alessandro Polita return to World Superbike competition at Misano as a wild-card for Barni Ducati.
The World Superbike Championship grid will grow to 23 riders at Misano this weekend after Barni Racing confirmed it will enter a pair of wild-card Ducatis.

The local team currently competes in the Italian-based CIV Superbike series with riders Matteo Baiocco and Alessandro Polita, both of whom have experience at WSBK level.

Two rounds into the CIV season, Baiocco is currently leading the standings following a victory last time out at Monza, while his team-mate Polita sits in third position.

Since making his WSBK debut in 2009, Baiocco has started 46 WSBK races and ridden for PSG-1 Kawasaki, Guandalini Ducati and Pedercini Kawasaki, while Polita, a former Superstock 1000 champion, has started 16 races in all for Celani Suzuki.

I'm surprised by the lack of interest on this topic. If this was HM Plant Honda there would be alot more comments. Italian teams are quality and deserve much more respect.Good luck to Baiocco and Polita.
