Tom Sykes is confident Kawasaki can build on a positive performance last time out at Miller Motorsports Park as the World Superbike Championship heads for round six at Misano.
Sykes scored two top ten finishes, including a strong charge to sixth in race one, in the USA for one of the more convincing – and consistent - weekend performances of the new ZX-10R thus far.
Though Sykes admits Misano wasn't a successful circuit for the manufacturer last season, he is hopeful that the lessons learnt since then will aid its cause this time around.
“Misano was one of our least favoured tracks from 2010 but I am still confident about our chances. This year we have a better package to work with, and one which is improving with every race. There is still work to be done but every time I head to a new circuit I feel positive, so I am looking forward to Misano.
“After Miller we have even more ideas on how to improve the bike and bring something else to the table, both at Misano and at Aragon shortly afterwards.”
