Rea out of Misano

The Castrol Honda rider was due to start the two races arond the Misano circuit from 11th position.
Jonathan Rea will take no further part in the Misano round of the 2011 World Superbike Championship after hurting himself in an accident during warm-up.

The Northern Irishman – currently sixth in the WSBK standings - came down at turn eleven during the 15 minute session, forcing a red flag to be flown as he was taken to the medical centre for checks.

The Castrol Honda rider, who has been beset with injury woes this year, is reported to have fractured his arm and also sustained concussion, ruling him out of racing at Misano this weekend and probably Motorland Aragon next weekend.

Rea, who won his first ever WSBK race at Misano in 2009, has struggled for form this weekend and was due to start both races from 11th position.

this was always going to happen, reas over riding this bike to get anywhere near the others lap times, and its gonna hurt him a lot, most others teams have stepped forward from last year ,the honda has not,two yrs ago here rea was banging fairings with the ducatis to win a cracking race, now hes light years off that, tenkate can get it working if they have a few days of testing at a track, but you dont get that every weekend, its so far up its own backside with electronics ,and i fear tenkate have lost there way with it,and have spread their resources too thinly again as a team, and reas paying the price for it, as he does not want to run around in tenth place every race,he over rides it to try and get it up there.hes not a happy puppy.

JR has 2 options-ride around outside the top 12 and do your career no good or,push the bike beyond what it is capable of and risk hurting yourself (and being labelled by pc warriors as a crasher!)he is in a no win situation...AND,if he goes to MotoGP with TK i still dont have faith in them to develop a bike if it patently isnt working!!
