Eugene Laverty has set his sights on success at Motorland Aragon having had the unique opportunity to test there in recent weeks.
As Yamaha's nominated testing venue, Laverty and team-mate Marco Melandri were at the Alcaniz circuit shortly after the Irishman's remarkable double victory at Monza in May.
Getting the opportunity to sample the circuit in warmer conditions to that of last year when a number of other teams tested there, Laverty is hoping the previous experience will prove an advantage for him as he looks to strengthen his fourth place in the overall standings.
"I'm really looking forward to Aragon,” he said. “We tested there after Monza and it went pretty well. It's a new track most riders haven't raced before so hopefully this will be an advantage for us.
“I had a tough weekend in Misano but I intend bouncing back in Aragon, pushing forward to try and gather more valuable points for the championship."
