Max Biaggi says a decision on whether he will able to race in the tenth round of the World Superbike Championship at the Nurburgring will come at the last minute after he was diagnosed with a fracture to his foot.

The Italian was hit by debris during Friday's qualifying session, leading to swelling of the foot, which was diagnosed as a fracture by the Clinica Mobile.

However, while he has continued to post competitive lap times since then - culminating in his run to third on the grid -, he admits he isn't relishing the idea of racing over a longer distance.

Indeed, the Aprilia Alitalia rider is even going as far to say he will wait until the morning before the races before deciding whether he will compete.

"The position on the grid isn't bad at all. I'm more worried about being able to last that many laps. The foot I injured yesterday hurts constantly and the situation got worse lap after lap. It's a struggle for me to engage the gears now and I can't ride, so that doesn't make me very optimistic. All we can do now is wait for tomorrow morning."
