“The results of the last restarted race will be the final race classification”
A rule change announced on the eve of this weekend's 2012 World Superbike season-opener signals the end of aggregate race results, in the event of a re-started race.

An FIM statement, following a meeting of the Superbike Commission, read as follows:

“1.27.4 CONDITIONS FOR THE RE-STARTED RACE WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
The last paragraph e. is amended as follows, so that the results of the last restarted race will be the final race classification:

“e. The final race classification will be established according to the position and the [consolidated] number of laps of each rider at the time he crossed the finish line at the end of the last part of the race. Provisions of Art. 1.25.4 will apply.”

It's easy to criticise, but Jack and jamie are in a little commentating booth, watching a 14 inch monitor, a timing screen and juggling sheafs of notes trying to entertain and inform us while we sit back on a comfy sofa watching a fifty inch plasma telly. Personally I thoroughly enjoy their partnership and hope it continues for many a season. Also can't wait for the season to start - just wish there weren't so many injuries.

I know what you mean 'oldtimerMKII' by Jack getting confused!! But I am really looking forward to Saturday morning qualifying. At last the season starts! And I look forward to James sorting Jack's confusion out..........
