Name your Phillip Island World Superbike star

Vote for your World Superbike star of the day at Phillip Island
The first round of the 2012 World Superbike season took place at Phillip Island in Australia on Sunday, when race wins were split between former champion Max Biaggi and reigning title holder Carlos Checa.

Biaggi (Aprilia) won race one after a huge highside for Checa, who got back on his Ducati to dominate race two, while Biaggi charged from last to second after spearing straight-on at turn one.

Second behind Biaggi in race one was Marco Melandri, making his BMW race debut, with Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli claiming a surprise third for Effenbert Liberty Ducati.

The second race saw Kawasaki's Tom Sykes snatch a last-gasp third from Honda's Jonathan Rea, while Leon Haslam (BMW) and Eugene Laverty (Aprilia) both rode through the pain of fractures sustained in testing to finish a best of fifth and eighth in race two.

Those were just some of the highlights. All things considered, we want to know who you think was the star of the day down under?
