Who was your star of the day at Imola?

Voting time! WSBK Rider of the Day: Imola...
The second round of the 2012 World Superbike season took place at Imola on Sunday, when reigning champion Carlos Checa won both races for Althea Ducati.

But the Spaniard was made to work for it, being forced to hunt down Kawasaki pole sitter Tom Sykes in both races.

Two second places for Sykes marked the latest step in the Englishman's fast-growing form on the ZX-10R, while injured countryman Leon Haslam likewise proved BMW's potential with a pair of thirds.

As ever in WSBK, competition was strong throughout the top ten.

All things considered, including machinery and injuries, we want to know your star of the day at Imola. A shortlist of ten riders can be found by clicking below. After voting you will see the current results.

Carlos Checa with calm, tactical riding and briliant wins. You can say he has the best bike (which is the same as last year with 6kg extra), but where are the other Ducatis? I would never leave out Tom Sykes, it was his best ever weekend with two seconds, if he continue this way he will get his first victory very soon. Also good performance from Haslam, I think it was the first time BMW got a double podium. He had spectacular battles with Biaggi. This two British will be major forces this year. I would not forget Lorenzo Zanetti in the first race (it's a shame he fell back in the last few laps) and Rea's comeback in the second.
