Giugliano keen to move on from Imola set-back

Davide Giugliano wants his results to reflect his pace at Assen following an unfortunate double DNF at Imola.
Davide Giugliano is targeting a pair of good results during the third round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship at Assen in an effort to put a disastrous Imola round firmly behind him.

The Italian failed to score in either of his home races at Imola after becoming innocently embroiled in a crash during race one before seeing a potential top five result scuppered in race two when his Althea Ducati ran out of fuel just two laps from the chequered flag.

Despite the disappointments, the reigning Superstock 1000 champion has shown decent form in his maiden WSBK races, pace he is now keen to turn into results at Assen.

“Imola was a weekend to forget as far as I'm concerned,” he said. “I've continued to concentrate on training over the last weeks in order to be in the best possible condition to face the next races at Assen. I like the Dutch track and am feeling confident. I'll work together with my team to and will be ready for two good races come Sunday.”

What about both races at Miller Park the year before last Loui? Checa was leading comfortably in both races until mechanical failures scuppered him. Hardly heard of Giugliano before this season but he seems to have some talent.
