Salon to miss Donington Park

David Salom and Bryan Staring injury updates.
Following last Sunday's accident at Monza, David Salom will not participate in this weekend's Donington Park round.

The heavy impact in his Parabolica fall caused small microbone fractures and a lot of bleeding around the right shoulder area.

Salom will travel to the Donington Park to support the Pedercini Kawasaki team, but won't be back on track until the following Salt Lake City round, at the end of May.

At present, there are no plans to replace Salom this weekend.

Meanwhile, the team's Superstock FIM Cup rider Bryan Staring has undergone surgery in Suzzara (Mantova) hospital in Italy to help with the healing of fractures suffered to the small fingers of each hand.

Staring, who fell during the second qualifying session at Monza, expects to participate in the next Superstock race, at Misano on 10th June.

French up-and-coming Loris Baz should replace Salom at Donington. He should be competitive right away, having experience of the Z10 and of the Donington track as well.
