David Salom will return to World Superbike Championship action at Miller Motorsports Park after being forced to skip Donington Park through injury.
The Pedercini Kawasaki rider sustained a broken collarbone in an accident at Monza, leaving him sidelined from the UK-based fifth round of the series.
Nonetheless, while the 2011 World Supersport runner-up admits he is still feeling pain in the shoulder, he is ready to get back to racing.
“I'm ready to race in Salt Lake City. I have been training a lot in the gym and my shoulder fracture has improved a great deal. I'm still feeling some pain but this will not prevent me from racing.
“My main aim for the race weekend is to get the bike working consistently. If we can do this and understand the important parts of the Miller racetrack, then I think we can put the Pedercini Kawasaki further up in the results table.”
Salom was replaced by British rider Gary Mason at Donington Park.
