We need to improve the bike, says Biaggi

Max Biaggi hints that consistency alone won't be enough for him to win the 2012 World Superbike Championship and calls on Aprilia to improve its package.
Max Biaggi has reiterated that Aprilia must improve its RSV4 if he is to retain his advantage in the World Superbike Championship standings.

Speaking ahead of the seventh round of the season at Misano, Biaggi hints that the Aprilia is not the strongest machine on the grid, adding that his current 18 point lead is down to consistency, rather than outright success.

Nonetheless, Biaggi is looking forward to returning to his home circuit of Misano, even if he concedes that he doesn't know how he will fare alongside fellow race-winning rivals BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki and Honda.

“Misano is definitely a good track for us. It remains to be seen how the others will perform in light of the new balance we've seen since the start of the championship.

“We are the ranking leaders thanks to consistently good placements, but we need to improve our bike, which seems to have lost technical power compared to our rivals. My expectations are high for the weekend in Emilia Romagna. I want to give our fans two good races.”
