Salom hurts shoulder in Misano shunt

David Salom risks skipping his home event at Motorland Aragon after dislocating his already injured shoulder.
David Salom could be forced to miss his home World Superbike round at Motorland Aragon after tweaking his injured shoulder in an accident at Misano.

The 2011 World Supersport runner-up has been beset by injuries on his return to Pedercini Kawasaki this season, the Spaniard hurting his wrist at the Phillip Island opener before injuring his collarbone in an accident at Monza, an ailment that subsequently ruled him out of the following Donington Park round.

Now Salom could be forced to miss another event after a fall during the second WSBK race at Misano dislocated the same shoulder.

“In race two, after making a good start, I tried to force my rhythm but nfortunately I crashed and dislocated my right shoulder once again. It's the same shoulder I dislocated at Monza.

“I really hope to be able to race in Aragon at the end of June, also because it is my home race.”

Staring won't be riding for Pedercini in SBK, he already rides for them in FIM Stock 1000, he'll be racing in Aragon aboard the Stock bike. My money is on Aitchison.
